Overview
Star
Manufacturing Ltd. (Star) Is a Precision Metal Stamping and Fabrication Company
with experience in metal forming, piercing, coining and trimming. An
experienced Tool & Die department and ISO9001:2000 Quality Certification support
this ability. Star specializes in precision sheet metal fabrication, small to
medium sized stampings, waterjet cutting, welding & powder coating services.
Prototypes & Low
Volume Production
Prototypes and Low Volume parts are cut by a CNC controlled laser, waterjet or
turret press and formed using a CNC controlled press brake or an OBI press when
special forming is required. Star can develop prototypes directly from a CAD
file eliminating the drawing release cycle during product development. Star can
also scan a flat blank developed by any means utilizing our laser scanner and
create a DXF file which can be used to generate a part program. Star offers
prototypes and low volume production with aggressive delivery schedules and
competitive cost.
Design
Engineering
Star's team will work with your design team during new product development. This
value-added service assists the customer in creating a high quality product
which is easily produced which helps reduce part cost. Star is well equipped
with an integrated computer system utilizing AutoCAD and has the capability to
directly transfer CAD files and specifications.
Manufacturing
Star uses various methods of production to meet the needs of all customers. Low
volume parts are manufactured using CNC controlled equipment. High volume parts
are manufactured using high-speed presses and progressive tooling. Stars Tool &
Die department designs, builds and maintains the progressive dies and also
designs and develops special cutting and forming tools for low volume parts.
Star remains flexible in manufacturing to allow for growth of products from low
to high volume, while remaining price competitive. Star's integrated computer
system allows for customer tracking from order entry through shipping. Our
system is networked throughout the manufacturing process and scheduling.
Diversification
Star is diversified in numerous industries including Automotive, Heavy
Equipment, Consumer Electronics, Medical, Petroleum, Lighting, Dispensing and
Decorative Product markets. We are continuing to expand our diversification and
knowledge in other industries to meet the needs of our customers in both
products and services.
Scheduling and Delivery
Star Manufacturing uses flexible scheduling to allow for any expedited orders,
even down to 24-hour turnaround. Star Manufacturing also provides build to
forecast with JIT Stocking and Kanban replenishment systems. Shipments are sent
using the best method to ensure on time delivery.

Certified
Star utilizes operator inspection, Statistical Process Control, product
verification audits, process audits, and internal system audits to maintain high
product, process, and system integrity. The quality program is focused on
continuous improvement process, TQM principles, and specific customer
requirements. Star is certified to ISO9001:2000.

Shipping &
Inventory
The shipping department is equipped with lift trucks, calibrated scales, a bar
code system, FIFO inventory system and controlled inventory access. Star has the
capability of shipping via commercial carrier and company trucks (14,000-lb.
carrying capacity) for local deliveries. Star performs JIT stocking with
shipment per customer release for a majority of our customers.
